Growth.

KAO students typically enroll in our school performing two to three years below grade level. After four years at KAO, these student make dramatic gains across all subjects, as measured by the SAT-10, a nationally-administered test.

Comparative Performance. 

The Academic Performance Index measures the performance of California schools, based on how well each school does on various standardized tests. The scale ranges from 200 to 1000. Based on 2009 API score, KAO outperformed 80 percent of public middle schools in Los Angeles Unified School District, as well as bested all neighboring public middle schools.
