8th Grade Physical Science
Welcome the webpage for Grade 8 Physical Science. On this page you will be able to find information about class assignments specific to science as well as 8th grade activities.
On September 6th, we will begin a new unit entitled: Matter: What is the Stuff that Stuff is made of? This unit explores the Structure and Matter standards outlined by the California Department of Education and can be found here.
Topics covered will also include: structure of the atom, molecular motion, chemical vs. physical properties and changes, introduction to density as well as introduction to scientific inquiry and presentation. The following are examples of assignments that have been distributed in the past:
