We the people of the KAO Music department dedicate all of our efforts to the development of fine musicians.  To ensure optimum development of well rounded music scholars and performers, students will receive explicit instruction in music theory, performance skills, effective practice skills, ear training, and music history.  All instruction will uphold high expectations and rigor for musicians while creating a safe space for artistic expression.  The music department will increase the joy factor for all students at KAO through invigorating experiences in music that liven the halls of our building and enrich the minds, souls, and bodies of our children.
