How You Can Help At Home

• Read with your child whenever possible – set aside time every night to read with your child.  Have your child read aloud or read to your child, it is extremely beneficial for struggling readers to listen to strong readers.  While reading, talk with your child about the characters and events in the book.
• Encourage your child to use post-it notes as they read to record their comments.
• Check their homework carefully every night.  Even if a student says that it is done, please ask them to see it! 
•  Encourage your student to keep their binder clean and organized.
