RUSH HOUR!

January 18, 2009

Wow today was all about TRAFFIC TRAFFIC TRAFFIC!  When we woke up, we all got ready for the day.  Then we went to the metro that is when it all started when we got there it started to get crowded, but it wasn't as bad yet.

Then we got off the Metro, it was amazing how many people were selling Obama stuff.  There were at least thirty people doing it outside the Metro, but we were just going right across the street.  Then when we arrived, the line was as long as the whole building so we decided to go to Starbucks.

It was even crowded there.   Then we went back to the Metro to go to the Holocaust Museum.  I learned how badly Jews were treated and how unfairly. Its crazy how many people died in the Holocaust.  It was so sad for me.  There was a lot of traffic there too.  Then we went to the Metro to go home.  We could barely fit in the train!  I was glad when we got out!  Finally, we went to eat and I got full.

Trinity, what is your perceptions of the town of D.C. after this moring's events? Just watching everything on TV moved me and I could only imagine how all of you were feeling. Did the warmt and spirit of the crowds keep the frostbite away from all of you? How has the experiences of these past few days affected your own spirit? I look forward too reading more about your adventures. See you all soon. Ms. Marie

What an exciting day today was. I can only imagine how spectacular it must have been to be in the center of the inauguaration ceremony. From watching the festivities on TV I could sense the joy and hope of everyone there. How did it feel to be preswent for such a powerful event?

Trinity, do you think that all the Metro traffic is worse than the freeway traffic of Los Angeles. Personally, I would prefer to be in a crowded metro station, than driving on a crowded freeway.
