Principles of Design
The principles are movement, unity, variety, balance, emphasis, contrast, proportion, and pattern.
MOVEMENT: The path the viewer's eyes follow.
UNITY: (Harmony)  To have a feeling of completeness in the artwork.
VARIETY: The use of contrast, emphasis, and the difference in color and size in the artwork.
BALANCE: Not to have one part  overpower or seem heavier. Symetrical and Asymmetrical
EMPHASIS: (Focal Point) To attract the viewer's eyes to a place of special importance
CONTRAST: The diference in color and brightness of an object to other objects
PROPORTION: Describes the relative size and locations of objects in the artwork.
PATTERN: (Rhythm) A consistency with lines and colors of an artwork.
