KIPP Raíces Academy Open House

KIPP Raíces Academy hosted an open house in March to connect with members of the community. Supervisor Gloria Molina spoke at the event.

Nutrition Night

Revolution Foods, the vendor that supplies our school with nutritious school lunches, partnered with Ms. Brickner, the P.E. teacher and the Parent Advisory Council to give a presentation about family and student nutrition and fitness.

Earth Day presentation

Consolidated Waste Disposal, which provides our waste and recycling services, came to give an Earth Day presentation to the students to promote recycling. This presentation corresponded with the Student Council recycling project!

Art Celebration!

Ms. Stasica, our amazingly talented art teacher, created the KIPP Raíces Academy Art Museum and worked with the Acheivers to give a presentation from the mini masters. We had an great turn out for the event.

Financial Literacy Day

KIPP Raices Academy partnered with Pan American Bank to put on Financial Literacy Day. The purpose of this event was to educate students and parents about the importance of starting to save for college early. For all students who signed up with their parents, Pan American Bank opened a college savings account with $5 to help families initiate the process of saving for college. It was a very important and exciting day!
