KIPP LA Results
Growth.
KIPP schools nationwide have established a track record of significantly raising student achievement. KIPP LA schools are no exception and, like their KIPP cousins around the country, have produced outstanding results since the original two middle schools opened in 2003. The first two classes to complete the eighth grade at KIPP LA’s middle schools demonstrate the impact our schools have on students over four years. These students made remarkable gains across all subjects in their four years at KIPP, as measured by the SAT-10, a nationally-administered test.

Comparative Performance.
KIPP LA students consistently outperform their peers across Los Angeles on the California Standards Tests for English, math, science, and history. According to the 2008 Academic Performance Index, which measures the performance of California schools based on how their students perform on these tests, KIPP LA Prep and KAO were among the top-performing schools in the district. Each school bested the performance of all its neighboring public middle schools. The API scale ranges from 200 to 1000.
