With the End in Mind
Our student vision realized.
KIPP Comienza Community Prep students will exit elementary school after the fourth grade prepared to realize their great potential. They will have grown from five-year-old students, new to school, to nine year olds who believe in themselves. Our students will be described as pursuing life filled with passion and personal responsibility. They will focus on goals and approach work with curiosity, best effort, and zest while making decisions to stay on the path to and through college.
Future teachers and professors will describe KIPP Comienza students as leaders prepared to excel and demonstrate excellence in thought and action, even when no one is looking. If one asks these students about their goals, they can explain the “why” behind them and the necessary steps to realize them. Our students will offer help before one asks. They will seek ways to make situations better and search for ways to positively impact the world.
When life brings difficulties, our students will draw upon the lessons and exemplify the school values taught at KIPP Comienza. They will have pride in themselves and their community, yet approach life in a humble and self-aware way, conscious of their daily choices and impact.
