Our Approach
Instructional Vision.
Through an active, engaging, and rigorous learning process built on mastery of standards and academic language and the cultivation of critical thinking, problem solving, and effective communication skills, KEA will develop students who are strong in mind.
With a focus on instilling personal habits that promote mindfulness of physical health and well-being and a passion to strive for excellence in pursuit of our goals, KEA will develop students who are strong in body.
By fostering a nurturing, positive, and inclusive community that encourages mutual respect, self-awareness, and personal and collective responsibility, KEA will develop students who are strong in spirit.
Our Value Statements.
At KEA, our value statements are an important part of our school culture. Each KEA value statement has a corresponding adinkra, a visual symbol that has been used for generations by the Ashanti people of Ghana. There is an uplifting story behind each adinkra. The symbolic meaning and story-inspired origins of the adinkra symbols make them a powerful tool for helping students understand our values.
Our values, with their corresponding adinkras, are:
| Value Statement | Value | Adinkra |
| Work hard. | Hard work / Excellence | ![]() |
| Be nice. | Respect / Empathy | ![]() |
| Stay strong. | Courage / Determination | ![]() |
| Make good choices. | Responsibility / Integrity | ![]() |
