KIPP Empower Academy Results

KIPP Empower Academy’s kindergartners showed impressive mastery of all subjects by the end of the 2010-11 school year, as measured by the national SAT-10 test, (which benchmarks the performance of our kindergartners against first grade results). Though many students at KIPP Empower Academy entered kindergarten without basic letter and number recognition skills, by the end of the year, 98 percent were reading and performing math at or above the national average.

KIPP Empower Academy aims to ensure that its students never face the achievement gap. Through an active, engaging, and rigorous learning process, our teachers cultivate critical thinking and problem solving skills in our students that will serve them for the entirety of their education. By the end of kindergarten, our students were reading at a 2.5 grade level and performing math at almost a third grade level.
