Commitment to Excellence

After enrolling at KIPP Academy of Opportunity, the school leader, teachers, parents, and students sign a non-binding pledge called a “Commitment to Excellence.”

School's Commitment.

Without taking shortcuts, we commit to KIPP Academy of Opportunity in the following ways:

We promise to provide a safe, college preparatory experience so that 100 percent of our students may choose their futures and change the world to build a better tomorrow.

Student's Commitment.

Without taking shortcuts, I commit to KIPP Academy of Opportunity in the following ways:

  • I will always work, think, and behave the best way I know how, and I will always behave so as to protect the safety, interests, and rights of all individuals in the school and on field trips. Because of my decisions, I understand that my teammates and I will attend college, choose our futures, and change the world.
  • I will arrive at KIPP every day on time. I will also remain at KIPP throughout the day. I will participate in supplemental instruction opportunities that are recommended to me.
