The Day Has Come
January 20, 2009
Howdy doo observers or internet browsers….
My name is Nasser Baker from the class of 2016. For the past five days we have been in Washington, DC touring fun and exciting places. For example, we have been to The Air and Space museum, The Holocaust museum ,and The Chocolate City tour. As you can see we have been typing blogs every night or day about how we feel about the things we do. As you know today was one of the most important days in the whole wide world.
Me and my teammates were some of the people who were inside of the parade section of the event. There were millions of people there for the Inauguration. I felt paranoid when we got on the metro train, when we went through security ,and when we were entering the parade section. There were so many people crammed in one little spot. I also felt scared a little bit about the people yelling at the security. I also felt bad for the people who weren’t being very patient in line. They were so impatient to the point where they just took the chance of leaving the most important event in the world, just because it was crowded.
So when we got to the end of the tunnel I felt free, and I was very happy and excited. But I wasn’t too excited when we had to go through more security and it was even more crowded. We could handle it since we went through the first crowd. When I saw the second crowd of people it just killed my whole moment of happiness and freedom. I felt very bad.
After wards we had to walk our way through the parade section of the inauguration. It was not difficult for us. Even though there were many people around us, we were still very cold. The people that were standing on the mall were very loud and excited. You could tell from how loud the crowd was. It was very shocking to me. To conclude this, I would like to thank the people that read my blog every night, thank you.

What the Holocaust Costs
January 18, 2009
Good evening observers, or internet browsers. My name is Nasser B. from the class of 2016. Today we went to the Metro train in the morning. It wasn't very crowded like most of the days we take the Metro train. We took the train to the Holocaust Museum.
This museum is mainly about what Adolf Hitler did to persuade people to believe his lies, how he treated different types of people that he didn't like for some reason. Some of the people he didn't like were the Jews, the Gypsies, the Polish, and Blacks.
Lastly the museum is mainly about what Hitler's solution or consequence was for doing those cruel things to those different types of people from around the world for no reason.
The way I feel about these things is sad, mad, happy, and painful. Why do I say these certain emotions? I say these certain emotions because I know how I would feel if I went through the things these people went through.
When we left the museum and walked on the sidewalk almost every person on the sidewalk was selling something based on Obama. There were Obama shirts, buttons, hats, and also rubber bands. It made me feel like I knew the real love people had for Obama. I was also happy that people really have Obama's spirit. After we got through the sidewalk and went to the subway it was very shocking to me. When we got into the subway there were more than 1000 people or more waiting for the Metro train just in our station.
If you read our blogs everyday you will see an increase in our excitement!

My first flight was a success! Thank you Virgin America.
January 16, 2009
Hi,my name is Nasser Baker from the class of 2016. This morning I was at LAX Airport at 5:30 am. Now I am warm and cozy in Washington, DC. While in the terminal earlier today, I could feel the rumble from the airplanes while I was waiting for our flight.
As it rumbled, it made me nervous but also excited and proud of myself for making the trip. Another way I felt earlier was calm about getting on an airplane, even though it was my first flight. As we entered the airplane, my heart pounded very fast! But I realized that I had no choice but to get on the plane and do what I came to do.
I would like to give an extremely big thank you to Virgin America for giving us the chance that is once in a life time. I also want to thank you for the best airplane service that you could ever give. I have never had any service like yours, anywhere else. I especially want to thank you for those kind and caring things you did for our flight to Washington, DC.
All of you that have read my blog today, I ask you for one favor: Can you please read all of our blogs, every night? We are going to be learning a lot about the histroy of the world, our country, and about being great leaders.
