Huge Crowds!
When we woke up at 3:30a.m. (which is 12:30a.m. in L.A.) I was happy and exited because I woke up to Inauguration Day.
When we went to the Metro station and it was empty, not like it usually is, but it was just a little bit more than rush hour. When we got in line for the security check it was 4:45a.m. and there were about 100,000 people in front of us. They were going 50 people at a time.
We stood in line for 4 hours. When we got to the front of the line, to security we had to through away all drinks, foods, and purses, but luckily l didn't bring any drinks or a purse, but I did sneak in some food. It wasn't hard, they even searched our pockets and us. Then we were at the Inauguration and we saw the cars that the important people came in. After the Inauguration we took the Metro again. Then went to Z burger and I got a cheeseburger and fries. We then walked home and got a 3 hour nap because we deserved it! After that we ate dinner (chicken, salad, and mash potatoes).
Read again tomorrow!

Third Day
January 18, 2009
Today was a good day because we went to a place full of history. We went to the Holocaust Museum. We learned about the Nazis and how the Jews were killed just because the Nazis believed that Jews killed the Nazi's God and other rumors.
They would destroy their homes and businesses then the Nazis would move the Jews into the ghetto. Then the Jews would be tricked into thinking that they could take a shower so they would take off their clothes, and they said "remember where you put your clothes" and instead of water, the Nazis put poison in the shower so they would die. Then the Nazis would carry the dead Jews to the crematorium where they would burn them and turn the Jews into ash. They would give the clothes to other Nazis. Learning this made me feel sad and mad at the Nazi's.
After the Holocaust Museum we went to the Metro station and it was crowded and a little bit worse than rush hour. We used a buddy system to get on the train with ease. All the trains were full!
Then we went to Mexico for dinner (Guapo's is really the name of the restaurant) and I had a big beef burrito! I hope we have as much fun tomorrow as we did today.

First Day
January 16, 2009
On the first day I was sad because I missed my mom, dad and sister. I am also exited because it the first time I am going on a plane and that plane is owned by Virgin America (A.K.A the coolest airline ever).
I am happy to finally be going to Washington, DC. The flight was very nice and smooth. The part I liked the most was when we were landing because it was like a roller coaster. The part I least liked when we had to leave the plane, because I didn't want to since I has so much fun.
