          KIPP: LA Prep sophomores will investigate Earth’s systems throughout the year.  This 
          year's standards cover topics such as Earth's layers, earthquakes, volcanoes, landforms,
          glaciers, erosion, energy, weather, ecology, and Earth’s resources.
